Director, Global Channel Operations

The World Wide Director of Channel Operations and Programs develops, implements and manages channel partner programs and operations that support Big Switch Networks (BSN) Channel Sales organization’s go to market partner strategies.  He/she plays a key role in increasing the business productivity and technical proficiency of the Big Switch partner community, working in close collaboration with the Channel Sales and Alliance teams. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop strategies and programs to enable our partners, promote channel adoption, drive revenue, and simplify the channel partner experience.
  • Designs and implements policies and objectives for BSN’s partner program.  Provides input for forecasting and formulating program development budgets.
  • Measure, analyze and report on the effectiveness of the WW partner program activities such as partner recruitment, partner sales and technical certifications and program benefit (MDF, Rebates, etc. ) ROI.
  • Develops enhancements for program infrastructure, including partner portal, partner specializations and programs (MDF, Rebates, etc.).
  • Manage and enforce BSN’s partner program, such as partner compliance, discounts, MDF, etc..
  • Work with cross functional teams to project manage and operationalize new offerings and programs with a goal to ensure ease of business with BSN, partners and field sales.
  • Work closely with BSN’s channel sales to support distribution and partner enablement programs.
  • Understand POS and royalty report processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the end of the quarter deal process through POS monitoring and transfer into SalesForce.com.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in channel operations.
  • Communicate effectively, in both oral and written form, with all levels with BSN.
  • Understand the importance of financial and regulatory rules around Rebate programs, Discounts, MDF and Deal Registration.
  • Strong analytical skills with sound business sense.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing successful cross-functional programs, including development of business process and system solutions
  • Familiarity with SalesForce.com’s Partner Portal.
  • Project management experience preferably within channel or sales operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • International experience and ability to drive global initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Must work well under pressure of deadlines
