Job Overview:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for building relationships with members of the executive team and employees throughout all levels of the organization.  Partner with leadership to enable a high performing team to meet corporate deliverables.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Partner with and support the engineering and operations teams of the business
  • Build relationships within the company in order to implement strategies and influence thinking to achieve business objectives
  • Partner with key business leaders to align HR programs and strategies to the needs of the function.
  • Work closely with leaders on short and long term needs of the business to balance competing needs and priorities
  • Understand business and how engineering work flows run
  • Confidently and confidentially advise and coach managers and employees on employee-related issues.
  • Continually coach managers in your functions to provide continued growth as the company continues to scale.
  • Advise and provide guidance on legal requirements and topics which affect the business
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives with your client groups
  • Partner with the business to deliver talent management programs such as calibration, performance assessment and succession planning
  • Partner with HR team to educate team on the various compensation, benefits and market based information we need to remain competitive
  • Work collaboratively on HR and other cross functional projects to help improve the business and drive growth
  • Understand development needs of your partner organizations and communicate and design appropriate solutions
  • Act as the bridge between teams, regions and individuals to identify opportunities for improvement working to mediate issues within the organization
  • Partner with leadership to ensure the Big Switch culture is maintained as we grow and scale
  • Prepare and track metrics to proactively identify needs of the business and your client groups

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

  • BA/BS, MA/MS in HR, OD or related field
  • 6+ years of HR business partnering experience in a high technology environment
  • Experience in a fast growth environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to handle ER matters with confidence and confidentiality
  • Track-record of contributing to meeting/exceeding goals and business objectives
  • Experience in scaling an organization and how to maintain and impact culture during such growth
  • Demonstrated ability to influence your partner organizations as the needs of the business grow and change
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Responsive to clients and able to follow through to execution

Experience with Google applications and Namely HRIS preferred
